Thank you Mother Nature

Well it snowed Friday night and Saturday morning, thanks to Mother Nature I was able to finish 2 more UFOs. To cold and wet to do anything outside. Sunday was a nice sunny day. My husband and I did spring cleaning so no sewing today. Tuesday is a all day sew at the church some will be doing a stack n whack, and the others will be doing machine embroidery on Capri's. Thursday I am going to the Chickasha quilting guild with some friends to check it out. I am going to start a new project on that day. The pattern is Beacon Hill from Quilt magazine August/September 2007. My fabric for this quilt is browns and pinks. I have added a picture of this fabric and the fabric for my mystery quilt for the NNNQG retreat is April. I finished a Christmas stain glass table runner and the count down to Christmas.

Soooooo little time!

I have been very busy since the retreat with work and my little darlings (grand kids). I have done some machine embroidery. I have also been working on a new stack n whack, and new fabric for another stack n whack. Oh did I mention that I love, love, love to make stack n whack quilts. I am waiting for the mail I ordered a new stack n whack book on Amazon. My fabric is ready to be quilted (by me) for the jacket class on the 3rd Saturday sewing day. My daughter called me on Friday and ask me to make a baby girl quilt for a shower, of course I already had baby boys quilts. So I made 3 small baby quilts on Saturday. Saturday evening my washer machine went out. So I had to spend hours at a laundromat. Here are some pictures.

Retreat weekend

This past weekend was the Renegade retreat. I worked on several projects. I made 2 Christmas stockings, table runner, scarf with pockets, wall hanging Santa, and finished my stack n whack quilt top, and the count down to Christmas. Of course we went shopping for fabric a few times. I bought the fabric for 2 new quilts, and some backing for some tops I have ready to go to the quilter. In the quilt guild I belong to I will be teaching the stack n whack fan quilt on the 5Th Tuesday. Today I received my new 10" Dell notebook, and I love it so far. Oh did I mention it's Pink. Here are some pictures of the projects. The bluebird fabric is a challenge for us to make something with this fabric as the focal fabric by our next retreat in August. The pink and green churn dash block is the quilt we will work on at the next retreat.
